Dr. Muro is an experienced researcher who received her PhD in Sociology from the University of Southern California in 2015. She formally taught in the Department of Anthropology, Sociology, and Criminal Justice at Regis University.
Her research examines the experiences of Latinos in multiple arenas including interpersonal relationships, schooling, and most recently, gentrification and its effects on Latino families.
Dr. Muro is a Latina born and raised in North Denver and is a first-generation college graduate. She connects deeply with CLLARO’s vision of helping Latinos achieve their fullest potential and looks forward to using her expertise to conduct impactful, accessible, rigorous, and non-partisan research that supports efforts to empower Colorado’s Latino community.
